ELDA is the longstanding collaboration between Andrew Woodhead & Aaron Diaz, mixing acoustic sounds with live electronics and soundscapes. Often performing in collaboration with special guests, their music explores the boundaries between the worlds of jazz, improv, electronica and folk.  

The Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns marked a change in process for ELDA. In the absence of live performance their focus shifted towards remotely recorded and produced projects in collaboration with artists from across the UK and Europe improvised music scenes.   

Their 5th release ‘Metal Built’ was made in collaboration with Manchester-based guitarist and improviser Anton Hunter.

‘Metal Built’ was recorded remotely over 2 live-sessions in early March of 2021, using the low-latency audio streaming application Sonobus with Andrew & Aaron recording in Birmingham and Anton recording in Manchester.
